EXPORT SETTINGSAVIF · 92% quality

Create AVIF delivery copies from WebP sources with a dedicated local encoder. Original dimensions and 92% quality are selected initially. Both formats can store transparency, but another lossy conversion can change fine detail and does not guarantee a smaller result. Compare real outputs before using them on a website.

How it works

  1. Choose the WebP images needed for your AVIF workflow.
  2. The page starts at original dimensions with AVIF output locked. Adjust dimensions or quality when needed, then use Apply & re-compress for existing files.
  3. Compare the ready preview with the original and download individual AVIF files or the batch ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Is the downloaded file a real AVIF?

Yes. The converter uses a local WebAssembly AVIF encoder rather than renaming WebP or relying on an unsupported native canvas export.

Should I convert an already-small WebP to AVIF?

Only if the result helps your delivery workflow. Small or already optimized WebP files may gain little, while conversion can add another generation of loss. Compare size and visible detail first.

Are my WebP images uploaded for conversion?

No. The converter decodes, encodes and creates ZIP downloads on your device. Large images and batches still need sufficient local memory.

Can I rename all my AVIF downloads?

Yes. Keep original names, add a prefix, or choose a custom name plus number. The rule applies to individual downloads and the ZIP. Downloaded files use the actual exported format's extension.
