Preview, rename and download. All in one place.
Convert JPG and JPEG photos to PNG when an editor, asset pipeline or upload form expects PNG. Original dimensions are selected on arrival. Smart PNG tries color reduction with conservative quality checks; Keep exact pixels uses lossless encoding after your chosen edits. Neither restores detail already lost in JPEG. Photo files can become considerably larger even when conversion succeeds; JPG or WebP is usually better for small photo files.
How it works
- Choose the JPG images needed for your PNG workflow.
- The page starts at original dimensions with PNG output locked. Adjust dimensions or quality when needed, then use Apply & re-compress for existing files.
- Compare the ready preview with the original and download individual PNG files or the batch ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting JPG to PNG make the original photo lossless?
Keep exact pixels stores the decoded pixels losslessly after your chosen edits. Smart compression may combine similar colors when checks pass. Neither can undo JPEG artifacts or restore discarded detail. Keep the original JPEG as your master copy.
Can this remove a JPEG background?
No. A JPEG starts with opaque pixels. Changing its format to PNG does not identify or remove a background; that needs a separate background-removal workflow.
Are my JPG images uploaded for conversion?
No. The converter decodes, encodes and creates ZIP downloads on your device. Large images and batches still need sufficient local memory.
Can I rename all my PNG downloads?
Yes. Keep original names, add a prefix, or choose a custom name plus number. The rule applies to individual downloads and the ZIP. Downloaded files use the actual exported format's extension.
